27.04.2026, 10:05 UhrWinterthur - Burckhardt Compression has secured several orders to supply compressors for LNG (liquefied natural gas) terminals in Taiwan and Thailand. In total, eight Laby compressor units for boil-off gas services and one for minimum send-of service are to be built.

(CONNECT)Burckhardt Compression AGfrom Winterthur has won a series of orders to deliver compressor solutions for LNG terminal projects in Taiwan and Thailand. As detailed in astatement, a total of eight Laby compressor units for boil-off gas (BOG) services and one for minimum send-of service are to be built.

LNG terminals operate at flexible pressures and fill levels depending on fluctuations in supply and demand. They receive, store and regasify LNG. Compressors play a crucial role in this process by regulating the boil-off gas (BOG) that is formed during storage under cryogenic conditions. The Laby compressors manufactured by Burckhardt Compression operate reliably on account of their contactless, oil-free design and full gas-tight properties, which support near-zero emissions and maximize the operational efficiency of gas handling processes.

“These orders demonstrate the continued demand for reliable, efficient LNG terminal infrastructure in Asia-Pacific”, as Andreas Brautsch, President of the Systems Division at Burckhardt Compression, explains in the statement. “We are proud that customers across these strategic LNG projects have selected our solutions to support safe operations and strengthen energy supply security - while improving the environmental footprint of boil-off gas handling”. ce
