ISO certificates for occupational health and safety, quality, and sustainability

Reußenköge/Geislingen an der Steige, 27 April 2026

GP JOULE EPC, a general contractor specialising in renewable energy plants, has successfully been recertified to the ISO 9001 (quality management) and ISO 14001 (environmental management) standards. At the same time, the company was certified to ISO 45001 for occupational health and safety management systems for the first time. GP JOULE EPC specialises in the technical planning, construction, and grid connection of megawatt-class ground-mounted photovoltaic systems.

As part of the certification audit, all relevant business areas, locations, and processes were comprehensively reviewed. The auditors examined aspects such as strategic direction, operational implementation, documentation, and effectiveness monitoring across various areas. With a pleasing result: the certifications awarded underscore GP JOULE EPC’s commitment to health and safety, the highest quality and environmentally responsible practices.

“These certifications reflect our commitment to being a responsible partner in plant engineering,” says Meik Georg Gessner, Managing Director at GP JOULE EPC. “Every construction site is unique, and we integrate quality, environmental awareness, and occupational safety equally throughout every project phase.”

In addition to GP JOULE EPC GmbH & Co. KG, its subsidiary GP JOULE EPC Ireland Limited has also been certified.

DIN standard for safety, quality, and sustainability

With its recertification to ISO 9001, GP JOULE EPC confirms that all its processes, products and services are consistently aligned with the highest quality standards and that it is continuously optimising its internal procedures. The renewed certification under ISO 14001 demonstrates commitment to sustainable business practices and the responsible use of natural resources.

Initial certification to ISO 45001 attests to a systematic and effective management system for occupational health and safety. This seeks to minimise risks, continuously improve working conditions, and sustainably enhance the well-being of all employees, service providers, and partner companies.

Page 2 of 3 “Through our certifications, we demonstrate that we systematically take environmental considerations into account, implement high standards of health and safety at work, and guarantee consistent quality – thereby taking our responsibility towards our employees, the environment and our business partners seriously,” says Maximilian Sellmaier, Quality Management Officer at GP JOULE EPC.

“Partners, suppliers, and service providers seek reliable, safe, and high-quality services,” says Meik Georg Gessner: “Our certified management systems guarantee exactly that: they increase delivery and planning reliability, ensure clear, transparent processes, and minimise risks in joint projects and business relationships. This enables us to contribute to quality assurance and the further development of the entire industry.”

This success confirms GP JOULE EPC as a reliable partner for investors, energy suppliers and businesses, whilst also sending a clear signal of continuous improvement and responsible conduct.
