Connected Worker Intelligence GmbH launches as an independent company – focus on the “last meter” of industrial value creation

Dresden, 1 April 2026– While ERP and MES systems have long been standard in industry, the last meter of all things remains surprisingly analogue: the actual execution of work at machines and assembly workstations. This is precisely where the newly founded Connected Worker Intelligence GmbH comes in: The Dresden-based company develops and operates the weasl platform, an AI-enabled connected worker and operations execution platform.
The company was spun off from iSAX GmbH & Co KG, an established digitalization partner for manufacturing companies for over 25 years, as an independent company on 1 April 2026.
Conscious step: Why an independent company?
The platform business aroundweaslfollows a different logic to iSAX’s traditional project and service business. An independent company creates clear responsibilities, accelerates product development and forms the basis for scaling, focusing and opening up international markets.
Robert Büchner, who has helped drive the development of weasl from the very beginning, and Swen Hallasch, who joined the company with the explicit aim of gearing weasl and the company towards sustainable growth, will manage the company.
“Connected worker is no longer a trend – it’s the blind spot that industry and investors are discovering at the same time,” says Robert Büchner. “The autonomous society gives us the speed we need to seize this opportunity.”
Swen Hallasch adds: “The market for connected worker solutions is growing – but it’s not waiting. The independent company is the prerequisite for us now being able to build the right partnerships and structures to support this growth.”
weasl closes significant digitalization gap
According to estimates, 60 to 80 percent of industrial value creation is still manual and has only limited digital support at this point. The consequences are obvious: errors due to missing or outdated instructions, knowledge dependency on individual employees, incomplete verification. At the same time, the number of variants, quality requirements and pressure due to the shortage of skilled workers are increasing.
weaslcloses this gap. The platform connects man, machine and data to form a consistent execution system – as a link between the planning levels and what actually happens at the machine and workplace.
standardized and traceable execution of work processes
context-based worker guidance in real time
seamless integration of existing IT and OT systems
continuous improvement through AI-supported analysis
This creates an operational foundation that increases security, quality and efficiency in equal measure.
In customer projects, weasl has helped to reduce throughput times by 20 to 40 percent and reduce errors by 30 to 50 percent.
No interruption for existing customers
Operational collaboration will remain unchanged for existing customers and partners:
ongoing projects and contracts will continue
iSAX remains the central implementation and technology partner
Existing support and operating models will remain in place
At the same time, customers will benefit from:
targeted expansion in the areas of AI, integration and analytics
