In this way, the biopharmaceutical company enabled 1,100 children from local elementary schools to take part in the race free of charge.

This year’s edition took place on April 25, 2026, with more than 15,000 running enthusiasts taking part over courses ranging from 630 meters in length to just under 7 kilometers. As part of its sponsorship of the event, MSD enabled 1,100 children from local elementary schools to participate free of charge, as detailed in astatement. According to the biopharmaceutical company, this commitment reaffirms its support for the local community and focus on promoting healthy lifestyles.

The new headquarters in the Rösslimatt district of Lucerne, which the company recently moved into, are also expected to play a part in rooting MSD in Central Switzerland. As the company writes in the statement, in this way MSD is underlining its long-term commitment to Central Switzerland – not only as an employer, but also as an active part of the local community.
