When life hits working life - about the role of next of kin at work

How to balance work and care?

Next of kin in working life concern us all. When employees are in difficult next of kin roles, it affects both health, ability to work and attendance.

Nurses Anne Torill Brimsø and Ingvil Aarrestad Godeset fromRELAwill give presentations on this important topic.

For the company, this can mean increased absenteeism, reduced attention – and employees who lose their footing. Many employers do not know that they have employees who are in a situation of next of kin. What often happens is that the manager suddenly gets a sick note on his desk. Only then do they gain knowledge about what the employee is doing privately.
