Get to know the tools that strengthen you in your role as a union representative, and build useful networks across workplaces and agreement areas.

Regional Manager at NITO East, Roy-Erik Mårtensson, leads us through a session where you get to know the most important tools you need as a union representative. There is no need for a computer, it is enough to bring a phone or tablet. The gathering is suitable for both new and experienced union representatives.

This evening gives you an arena for exchange of experiences, professional replenishment and inspiration - at the same time as you get an educational and current insight into the current and historical United States.

Through his lectures, Hans Olav Lahlum puts today’s unpredictable political drama into context, and provides clear analyses of key figures from American politics. You will gain insight into the historical roots of today’s political conflict lines in the United States, and Lahlum analyzes the divided state of the United States and its consequences for global allies.

We encourage those who can to take public transport, it is expensive to park outside the House of Literature Fredrikstad and in the surrounding streets. Feel free to use Fredrikstad’s two parking garages, St. Hans-fjellet car park or Apenesfjellet car park. They are both a few minutes’ walk from the House of Literature

Union representatives will be covered for travel expenses when participating in the gathering (not accommodation). The form for reimbursement is submitted electronically. Information about this will be sent to the participants after the gathering.

Hans Olav Lahlum is a historian, researcher and author of a large number of novels and non-fiction books about politics and society. He has been awarded for his social research and dissemination. He holds the record for the world’s longest interview and has made a name for himself as a chess player and chess commentator on TV.
