The reigning Olympic 4x100m champion is a key member of the Canada team chasing glory at the World Relays in Botswana. Discover his schedule and how to watch all the action live.

After a spectacular showing atParis 2024, reigning Olympic 4x100m relay champions Canada will be aiming for gold at theWorldAthleticsRelays in Gaborone on 2 and 3 May.

The Canadian men will arrive with a strong and experienced team, led by talismanAndre De Grasse, who anchored them to glory in France and is scheduled to compete in both themen's 4x100m and mixed 4x100m relays.

The man who won gold over 200m atTokyo 2020in 2021 has a glittering resume in the 4x100m relay, which includes three Olympic medals: bronze atRio 2016, silver at Tokyo 2020, and gold in Paris.

Add to that his three World Championship relay medals, with the highlight being the victory Canada achieved in Oregon in 2022, and it’s easy to see why the North Americans will be among the favourites in Botswana.

At last year’s World Relays, De Grasse and his teammates proved their pedigree, taking bronze in Guangzhou, People’s Republic of China.

And while competition will be strong this time around, De Grasse has enjoyed a stellar start to his outdoor season, clocking his fastest 100m time since 2021 with a9.95-secondrun at the Botswana Golden Grand Prix last Sunday.

Ominously for Canada’s opponents, that mark was only enough for second place in a race won by De Grasse’s compatriotJerome Blake, who finished in 9.93 - the sixth-fastest 100m run of 2026.
