Swiss Federal Council approves report on extension of exemptions from three-year activity requirement in Switzerland; extension to 2032, approval recommended FOPH: Federal Council Adopts Report on the Extension of Exemptions from the Three-Year Activity Requirement FOPH: Federal Council Adopts Report on the Extension of Exemptions from the Three-Year Activity Requirement Art. 37 para 1bisof the Swiss Federal Law on Health Insurance (Bundesgesetz über die Krankenversicherung, KVG) provides for an exemption from the three-year activity requirement for service providers in cases of an imminent undersupply. This exemption is currently limited until the end of 2027. A parliamentary initiative calls for its extension until 31 December 2032.
