Duong Manh Tien has been elected president of the Vietnam Volleyball Federation (VFV) for the 2026 to 2031 term following the organisation’s National Congress in Hanoi on 28 April.
His appointment establishes the federation’s leadership structure for the new governance cycle, with a 15-member Executive Committee supported by four Vice Presidents. Le Tri Truong will continue in his role as Secretary General.
Duong Manh Tien currently serves as chairman of the board of directors of Vietnam Future Sports Joint Stock Company. He takes on the role with a mandate to strengthen the development of volleyball in the country and raise the level of the national teams.
The congress also reviewed the federation’s activities during the 2021 to 2026 term and outlined key priorities for the next cycle, in line with national policies for the development of physical education and sport.
Among the main objectives for the new term is the further development of a structured training system from youth level through to the senior national teams, alongside the engagement of qualified experts to improve coaching and performance standards.
Vietnam enters the new term following a period of notable results between 2021 and 2026, including multiple medals at Southeast Asian competitions, a gold medal at the Southeast Asian Women’s Volleyball Championships and qualification for the 2025 FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championship.
In compliance with the FIVB Regulations, a detailed verification of the documentation for every National Federation election is conducted by the FIVB.
