The format is aimed at all interested citizens, regardless of their theoretical or practical knowledge of philosophy. If one interprets power as the opportunity to assert one’s own will in social relationships, the question arises as to why attempts to limit this endeavour in the political sphere have been repeatedly relativized or failed up to the present day. Why is it so difficult to sustainably shape rule-based (democratic) regulations in such a way that unwanted concentrations of power do not occur? The discussion will also consider new forms of power and violence in the digital media age.
