The world’s best sprinters, headlined by Olympic championsAndre De GrasseandShericka Jackson,will be in Botswana’s capital this weekend, asWorldAthleticsRelays Gaborone 2026gets underway from 2-3 May.

As in previous editions, places at theWorld Championshipswill be up for grabs at the Relays in Gaborone.

On the first day of the event, the top two teams in each of the four heats will advance to the next day’s finals, while also securing their qualification for next year’sWorld Athletics Championships Beijing 2027.

In the finals on day two, teams will compete for prize money and obtain preferential World Championships lane seeding positions.
