TNUA Orchestra Taiwan and Dresden SoloistsThe TNUA Orchestra of the Taipei National University of the Arts is honoured to be coming to the Kulturpalast in Dresden for a guest performance. Under the baton of its internationally renowned principal conductor Shao-Chia Lü, it will present a festive programme entitled ‘Dialogue of Sound Worlds’, combining Beethoven's monumental 5th Symphony with the Hakka-Taiwanese orchestral work ‘Song of Reverberant Emerald’. An inspiring encounter between Western tradition and Far Eastern sound poetry. The evening will be rounded off by Shostakovich's brilliant Concerto for Piano, Trumpet and String Orchestra No. 1 with Dresden soloists Nick Pscheidt (trumpet) and Chiwon Lee (piano). Lee won the ICA Piano International Competition in Vietnam and was a semi-finalist at the A. Scriabin Competition in Italy. In 2025, he made his debut in Saxony at the Theater Annaberg-Buchholz with Maurice Ravel's Piano Concerto in G major. Lee is one of Germany's most promising young pianists.Organizer:School of Music, Taipei National University of the Arts (TNUA)
