Pogradeci Pogradec triumphed as first-time women’s volleyball champions of Albania. In the deciding fifth match of the best-of-five final playoff on Monday, they mastered3-0 (25-16, 25-20, 25-17)home victory over Tirana to close the series at 3-2 in wins.

The Algerian women’s volleyball league season came to an end on Saturday. Defending champions Naceria Bejaia topped the final standings and earned the national title for the fourth time in history. Mouloudia Algiers claimed silver, while the bronze medals went to Olympique Sportif Tichy.

Asterix Avo Beveren claimed their fourth consecutive and 19th overall national crown in Belgium. In the best-of-five final series against Darta Bevo Roeselare, they got the job done in four matches. On Thursday, they triumphed as champions after a3-0 (29-27, 25-17, 25-15)road win. Asterix’s 27-year-old outside hitter Manon Stragier was named Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the finals.

For the third time in history, Dentil Praia Clube Uberlandia rejoiced as national champions of Brazil. In Sunday’s single-match final played in Sao Paulo in front of over 10 thousand fans in the stands(pictured in the main photo; source: cbv.com.br), they hammered out a3-0 (29-27, 25-21, 25-13)sweep against Gerdau Minas Belo Horizonte. Praia’s 39-year-old middle blocker Adenizia Silva was honored as MVP of the season.

Volley Mulhouse Alsace raised the French national champions trophy for the third time in the club’s history. They won both games of the best-of-three championship playoff against Levallois Paris Saint Cloud. After a five-set victory in the away match, VMA put together a3-1 (22-25, 25-23, 25-23, 25-22)win at home to triumph with the title in front of about 3,600 spectators in the stands.

The single-game final of Ireland’s women’s league was played in Dublin on Saturday. DVC Lions Dublin picked up their third national title after a3-0 (25-19, 31-29, 25-10)victory over University College Dublin.

Apollo 8 Borne achieved a historic success for the club as they earned their first national crown in the Netherlands. They did so after the best-of-five final playoff against Sliedrecht Sport went the full length. In Saturday’s deciding fifth game, Apollo 8 managed a3-1 (25-23, 25-16, 19-25, 25-23)away victory to rejoice as gold medalists.

Alianza Lima collected their sixth (third in a row) championship trophy in Peru. The best-of-three final series against Universidad de San Martin de Porres Lima was pushed to a deciding third match on Sunday. Alianza squeezed out a thrilling3-2 (25-20, 24-26, 25-22, 19-25, 15-13)victory to claim the title. Universitario de Deportes Lima celebrated the bronze. Alianza’s 34-year-old French opposite Maeva Orle was decorated as league MVP.

Slovan Bratislava defended their Slovakian crown and picked up the national title for the second time in the club’s history. The best-of-five championship series against Kooperativa Slavia EUBA Bratislava was pushed all the way to a crucial fifth match on Saturday, when Slovan battled it out for a tough3-2 (25-22, 25-23, 25-27, 18-25, 15-11)home win. The bronze medals went to UNIZA Zilina.

In a historic feat, Fundacion Cajasol Andalucia Dos Hermanas celebrated their first national title in Spain. The best-of-three championship playoff against Heidelberg Volkswagen Las Palmas de Gran Canaria was resolved in a crucial third game on Sunday. The two sides produced a hard-fought five-set battle with the hosts taking a3-2 (21-25, 25-21, 25-22, 21-25, 15-9)victory.

Defending laureates Carthage claimed the Tunisia Cup trophy for the ninth time in the club’s history. The final showdown was held in Tunis on Saturday. Carthage hammered out a3-0 (25-18, 25-12, 25-19)shutout of Sfaxien Sfax to earn the national cup crown.

The best-of-five final playoff in the Ukrainian league took five matches to determine the champions. Defending title holders Bukovynka Chernivtsi picked up their second crown after a3-1 (25-22, 25-14, 16-25, 25-17)home victory over Balta in the deciding fifth game of the series on Tuesday. Dobrodiy-Meduniversitet-ShVSM Vinnytsia brought home the bronze. Bukovynka’s 39-year-old middle blocker Lidiya Luchko was selected MVP of the season.
