2025 at a glance – five key insights from the Liebherr Group

2025 was a year of stability, investment and technological milestones for the Liebherr Group. With dedicated employees and pioneering innovations, Liebherr laid, even in a challenging global environment, the foundations for future growth.

€14,772 million total revenue or 1 % more than in 2024.

In the 2025 financial year, the Liebherr Group generated total revenue of €14,772 million, representing an increase of 1.0% year on year. Despite geopolitical tensions, trade barriers and an overall volatile global economy, Liebherr once again demonstrated its resilience. Revenue developed particularly positively in Europe (+3.2%) and in the European Union (+7.4%), with Germany proving to be the strongest growth driver. The Group’s broad diversification across 13 product segments and its decentralised structure once again proved to be key stabilising success factors.

55,963 employees were working for Liebherr by the end of 2025.

At the end of 2025, 55,963 people were employed by Liebherr – an increase of 1,235 employees or 2.3% compared with the previous year. The strongest growth was recorded in the European Union, while the workforce also expanded in Asia and Oceania as well as in Africa, the Near and Middle East. The fact that the Group employs more than 3,000 apprentices, interns, and trainees underscores the importance it places on fostering young talent.

€1,059 million invested in the future.

With investments totalling €1,059 million, Liebherr remained at a very high level in 2025, investing 7.1% more than in the previous year. The focus was on modernising and expanding production and logistics sites, particularly in Germany. Examples include the new dispatch centre in Kirchdorf an der Iller, investments in Ehingen-Berg and the expansion of the site in Biberach an der Riss. At the same time, Liebherr strengthened its international capacities, for example by expanding assembly and production facilities in Plovdiv (Bulgaria) as well as through investments in Brazil and the USA. The objective remains sustainable, organic growth driven by the Group’s own strengths.

The first autonomous wheel loader worldwide, powered by ‘Liebherr Autonomous Operations’.

At Bauma, Liebherr presented an autonomously operating wheel loader for the first time. The underlying system, Liebherr Autonomous Operations, was awarded the Innovation Award in the “Digitalisation” category. Using 3D environment sensors, the machine detects its surroundings and independently plans its working cycles – entirely without a driver.

34 premieres at Bauma 2025.

With 34 world and European premieres, Liebherr impressively demonstrated its innovative strength at Bauma 2025. In addition to autonomous systems and electrified machines, the focus was on digital solutions, assistance systems and software offerings for the construction site of the future. They demonstrate how Liebherr consistently brings together digitalisation, efficiency and sustainability.
