Clariant presents latest innovations in China

Shanghai - Clariant is showcasing its latest innovations for the foundry industry at Metal China 2026 until 9 May. At the trade show, Clariant’s new Ecosil LE III product line, CLARITY pilot project, and renovated applications center in Zhenjiang will be in the spotlight.

(CONNECT) The specialty chemicals companyClariant, which is based in Muttenz in the Swiss canton of Basel-Landschaft, is showcasing its latest innovations for the foundry industry atMetal China 2026. The trade show is taking place until 9 May at theNational Exhibition and Convention Centerin Shanghai. Here, Clariant is presenting its new Ecosil LE III product line and the CLARITY pilot project, as well as reporting on the successful completion of the modernization of its applications center in Zhenjiang, according to astatement.

Ecosil LE III is a next-generation foundry additive consisting of a blend of Clariant’s natural molding sand additiveGekoand high-gloss carbon formerEcosil. It reportedly offers benefits including significantly lower BTEX (benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes) emissions, optimized sand workability, and lower carbon consumption.

A pilot project for collaboration with foundry customers in China, CLARITY is a cloud-based digital platform developed byNavigance. The service enables seamless data exchange between Clariant and its customers, giving them access to plant and laboratory data at all times through customizable dashboards and a direct connection to Clariant’s technical experts. There are plans to expand the platform with predictive analytics powered by artificial intelligence.

Clariant has also completed the renovation of its foundry applications center at its Zhenjiang site. According to the statement, the center now features state-of-the-art mixing and high-temperature testing equipment, improved analytical capabilities, and expanded pilot facilities for hot property testing and casting simulation.

“From our new Ecosil LE III product line to digital collaboration through CLARITY and our upgraded applications center, we are strengthening our partnership with China's foundry industry to drive mutual success,” Paul Liu, Clariant’s Head of Foundry, Adsorbents APAC, is quoted as saying. ce
