Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic futsal tournament draw results — full groups
Senegal, set to become the first African nation to host a youth Olympic sporting event, will welcome 16 teams across the women’s and men’s Youth Olympic Futsal Tournaments from 1–12 November.
The groups for the Youth OlympicFutsalTournamentsDakar 2026were determined on Thursday (21 May) at the Home of FIFA in Zurich, Switzerland, with eight teams drawn into two groups of four in both the women’s and men’s competitions.
Senegal were automatically placed in position A1 for both draws as hosts, while Italy and Portugal — the top-ranked teams in the women’s and men’s tournaments respectively — were seeded directly into position B1.
The remaining teams were drawn alternately into Groups A and B in accordance with FIFA’s general principle that no group should contain more than one team from the same confederation.
Action gets underway on 1 November at the Iba Mar Diop Complex in Dakar, with both finals moving to Dakar Arena to close out the programme on 12 November.
The tournament marks just the second time futsal has been contested at the Youth Olympic Games, following its debut at the Youth Olympic Games Buenos Aires 2018. Brazil claimed the men’s title on that occasion and were victorious again in themen’s competition at the test event in Dakar last November.
