Zurich - Shares in dsm-firmenich AG are now also being traded on the SIX Swiss Exchange. The globally active manufacturer of nutrients, flavors and fragrances will also be included in the Swiss Performance Index. The company’s listing in Amsterdam is unaffected by this development.
(CONNECT) Since May 21,dsm-firmenich AGhas also been listed on theSIX Swiss Exchange, as detailed in astatement. As a result, the shares that up to now have been traded on theEuronext Amsterdamwill now also be listed in Zurich. As part of this dual listing, no new shares have been issued.
The nominal value of the shares amounts to 0.01 euro each, while the opening price stood at 62.80 Swiss francs. This produces a market capitalization of 15.9 billion Swiss francs for the globally active manufacturer of nutrients, flavors and fragrances for the nutrition, health and beauty industry.
In the words of Dimitri de Vreeze, the double listing should expand the company’s access to capital and bolster its presence on key European equity markets. “We expect this to support the continued development of a diverse, high-quality shareholder base and long-term value creation”, as the CEO of dsm-firmenich explains in the statement.
According to the information, this listing underlines the appeal of Switzerland as an international capital markets hub. “We are delighted to welcome dsm-firmenich to the Swiss capital market”, comments Tomas Kindler, Global Head Exchanges at SIX.
