Hodge rewrote the collegiate record books in both the 100m and 200m, capping her first NCAA Outdoor Championships with a 200m title and a runner-up finish in the 100m.
British Virgin Islands’ Olympian Adaejah Hodge * capped her NCAA outdoor debut with victory in the women’s 200m, setting a new collegiate record at the 2026 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Eugene, Oregon on Saturday (13 June).
Just hours after a shock finish that saw Hodge finish runner-up in the 100m to Jamaica’s Shenese Walker , she returned to the track to claim victory in the 200m in 21.68 , breaking Abby Steiner’s collegiate record of 21.80 set in 2022.
The performance came two days after Hodge had run 10.63 in the 100m preliminaries to break Sha’Carri Richardson’s collegiate record of 10.75 from 2019.
Hodge entered the 200m final as the top qualifier in the preliminary rounds.
The 20-year-old left little doubt in the final, powering away from the field to secure her first NCAA title.
Hodge says she was quick to move on from the disappointment of finishing second in the shorter sprint.
The United States’ Shawnti Jackson took second with a personal best 22.12, followed by Camryn Dickson at 22.18.
USA’s JaMeesia Ford , the 2025 NCAA 200m Champ, was injured in Thursday’s 200m preliminaries and was unable to race.
*In August 2024, Hodge served a 17-month ban for testing positive for a prohibited substance.
