The Oxford Bank Governance Programme is a five-day, in-person executive education programme at Saïd Business School designed for current and aspiring bank board directors, senior banking executives, regulators, compliance leaders, and governance professionals.

The programme helps participants strengthen their ability to govern and lead banks in an environment shaped by:

Digital transformation and fintech disruption

Risk, capital, and liquidity management

Sustainable finance and ESG considerations

Board culture, ethics, and leadership effectiveness

The curriculum is structured around:

Regulation, capital, and liquidity management

Risk management and financial statements

Strategy, growth, and responsible business

Typically aimed at professionals with significant banking experience, including:

Bank board members and non-executive directors

Senior banking and financial services leaders

The programme is essentially a board-level governance and leadership course for the banking sector , combining Oxford research with practitioner expertise to help leaders navigate regulation, technology change, sustainability, risk, and long-term strategy. Participants also gain access to the Oxford Saïd alumni network.
