Abu Dhabi - Aerial Grid is expanding into the United Arab Emirates with the opening of an office in Abu Dhabi. The establishment of the subsidiary marks the company’s official entry into the Middle East and is intended to drive the company’s business development and strategic partnerships.

( CONNECT ) Aerial Grid , a Schwyz-based company specializing in drone detection and the protection of critical infrastructure, has established a subsidiary in Abu Dhabi. With the new office in the Masdar City Free Zone in Abu Dhabi, Aerial Grid is simultaneously establishing its unit for the United Arab Emirates (UAE). According to the announcement , the new branch will drive the company’s development and advance strategic partnerships across the Gulf Cooperation Council.

With the new subsidiary, Aerial Grid plans to participate in regional innovation initiatives with partners sucb as the Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence , the Technology Innovation Institute ( TII ) and the energy company Masdar . The company also plans to engage with government, defense and enterprise stakeholders on airspace security and to expand deployment opportunities for its SkyTag , SkyRadar and SkyGrid products.

The Masdar City Free Zone is an ideal location, as it is already home to more than 2,000 companies in the fields of artificial intelligence, space, energy and smart mobility. According to the announcement, the drone market in the Middle East is also expected to grow from 1.35 billion Swiss francs in 2025 to 2.62 billion Swiss francs by 2030.

Aerial Grid has set itself the goal of establishing a layer of monitoring and security for low-altitude airspace, in both civilian and mixed-use areas. According to the company , its centralized control platform protects critical infrastructure, public spaces and communities from unauthorized or unsafe aerial activity and supports regulators and law enforcement with actionable airspace intelligence. At the same time, Aerial Grid enables authorized drone operations to scale safely, confidently and accountably. ce
