Demolition and surfacing work will generate noise and vibrations and affect access in the western area of the Double Deck construction site between late July and early September.

Work near the Coupole restaurant

From 27 July to 14 August 2026, demolition work will take place in the western area, near the entrance to the Coupole restaurant. The work will connect the new slab of the square to the existing slab.

The construction site fencing will temporarily be moved outwards, and the entrance to the Coupole restaurant located in this area will remain closed for the duration of the work.

The demolition will be carried out using a high-pressure water jetting process. Noise levels are expected to remain limited, but the work will generate vibrations, machinery movements and increased construction activity in the area.

Surfacing work in the waste collection area

During the last week of August or the first week of September, a bituminous surface, similar to asphalt, will be laid in the waste collection area on Level 0, on the western side.

This work may generate noise, vibrations and odours.

No noisy work will take place during Welcome Day on 4 September.
