Sonam Maskar and Himanshu Dhillon won bronze in the 10m air rifle mixed team event, bringing an end to India’s campaign at the ISSF World Cup 2026 in Hangzhou with another podium finish at the People’s Republic of China, on Tuesday.

The Indian pair Sonam Maskar and Himanshu Dhillon, competing as India 2, finished third in the medal match with a score of 441.2 points.

This was Sonam Maskar’s first ISSF World Cup medal in two years. She had won silver in the 10m air rifle women and the 10m air rifle mixed team events at the ISSF World Cup 2024 in Cairo.

Sonam Maskar also won the 10m air rifle women's silver at the ISSF World Cup in New Delhi in 2024, while this was Himanshu Dhillon’s maiden senior medal on the global stage.

Wang Zifei and three-time Olympic medallist Sheng Lihao of China claimed gold with 505.0 points, while their compatriots Du Yuchen and Tokyo 2020 gold medal winner Zhang Changhong took silver with 504.6.

India’s second team of Olympian Elavenil Valarivan and Parth Mane also featured in the medal match but finished fourth with a score of 378.8.

Earlier, both Indian teams had advanced from qualification, with Sonam Maskar and Himanshu Dhillon finishing second with 634.6 points, while Elavenil Valarivan and Parth Rakesh Mane placed third with 634.2.

Meanwhile, the Indian teams of Udaivir Singh Jaijee and Pragati Dubey as well as Bhowneesh Mendiratta and Kirti Gupta failed to qualify for the trap mixed team final.

The 10m air rifle mixed team bronze on Tuesday meant that India finished the ISSF World Cup in Hangzhou with four medals - one gold, one silver and two bronze.

Sainyam Vij had earlier secured silver in the women’s 10m air pistol event, while Esha Singh and Manu Bhaker won gold and bronze, respectively, in the women’s 25m pistol event.

The Hangzhou shooting meet was a combined ISSF World Cup, featuring rifle, pistol and shotgun shooters.
