The world No. 1 and the 24-time Grand Slam champion headline the initial 16-team entry list, which also features Alex Eala and Felix Auger-Aliassime.

Top-ranked Aryna Sabalenka and 24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic headline the initial list of 16 teams entered in the 2026 US Open Mixed Doubles Championship .

The tennis event, which was revamped in 2025 with a US $1 million prize for the winning duo, returns on 25-26 August at Arthur Ashe Stadium and Louis Armstrong Stadium, with a new eight-team qualifying tournament set for 24 August.

Sabalenka, the two-time defending US Open women’s singles champion, has formed a star-studded partnership with Djokovic, the Paris 2024 men’s singles gold medallist, who is still ranked world No. 5 at age 39.

Meanwhile, Filipina tennis star Alexandra Eala is set to make her professional mixed doubles debut alongside Felix Auger-Aliassime , the world No. 4 from Canada.

Also entered are 2025 runners-up Iga Swiatek and Casper Ruud , two-time defending champions Sara Errani and Andrea Vavassori , and the Japanese pairing of Naomi Osaka and Nishikori Kei .

Seven-time major champion Carlos Alcaraz , who is still recovering from a wrist injury, and Wimbledon winner Jannik Sinner , who withdrew from the recent Canadian Open, have not entered the US Open mixed doubles.

Entries close on 17 August, when the six teams with the best combined singles rankings will earn direct entry into the main draw. Eight teams will receive wild cards, and two more will advance through qualifying.

Last year’s edition drew 78,000 fans to the grounds and sold out Arthur Ashe Stadium on both days of competition.
