Discover the schedule for day five of the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games on Tuesday 28 July featuring final day of gymnastics and the penultimate night of swimming.

Another huge day at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games after Monday’s sports fest, with 27 gold medals set to be awarded on day five on Tuesday 28 July.

On the second day of athletics action at the Scotstoun Stadium six titles will be awarded, including crowning the fastest woman and man in the Commonwealth, with the 100m titles set be decided.

The men’s event includes the likes of South Africa’s Gift Leotlela , Nigeria’s Kanyinsola Ajayi , who beat the reigning world champion Oblique Seville at the London Diamond League the previous week. Seville has pulled out but Ajayi will also be up against the likes of Ackeem Blake of Jamaica, Kenya’s Ferdinand Omanyala and Australia’s new sensation Lachlan Kennedy .

The largest swimming session of the Games has 10 finals taking place at the Tollcross International Swimming Centre and includes Australia’s Kyle Chalmers , an Olympic champion from Rio 2016 , England’s Matt Richards , a double Olympic champion, and South Africa’s backstroke specialist, Pieter Coetze , who already has two gold medals from his time in Glasgow.

The final day of the artistic gymnastics and five champions will be crowned champions in men’s vault, parallel bars, and horizontal bar, and in the women’s nervy balance beam and floor exercise to wrap up an epic few days in the Glasgow International Arena.

Three gold medals will be claimed in both weightlifting and bowls and Para bowls . Other sports in action are boxing ’s preliminary rounds, netball , 3x3 basketball and 3x3 wheelchair basketball qualification rounds.
