Australia could add to their success at the 2026 Commonwealth Games on Thursday (30 July), with medals up for grabs in athletics and para athletics, track cycling and para track cycling, and weightlifting .
Commonwealth Games giants Australia lead the medal table in Glasgow, Scotland, with a tally of 80 so far, including 35 golds.
Several Australians will be in action across athletics events, while there is also Aussie representation in one of the weightlifting medal events.

Stars to watch for Australia on Thursday 30 July
Australian women will headline the action on Thursday, with Paris 2024 1500m silver medallist Jessica Hull , three-time Olympian Linden Hall and Rose Davies set to compete in the women’s 5,000m final.
Davies returns to the track shortly after winning the women’s 10,000m final, which brought up Australia’s first athletics gold medal at CWG 2026.
Elsewhere, multiple-time national champion Desleigh Owusu will aim for a medal in the women’s triple jump final while on the men’s side, sprinters Lachlan Kennedy , Calab Law and Aidan Murphy will race in the men’s 200m semi-finals .
Competing in his first Commonwealth Games, Kennedy has already won a medal - a silver in the men’s 100m race in which he also broke the national record over the distance.
In weightlifting, Ridge Barredo carries the Australian flag all by himself, competing in the men’s 110kg final.
