India's schedule at the Commonwealth Games 2026 today, July 30, is headlined by former Olympic and world champion Neeraj Chopra , who begins his bid to reclaim the men's javelin throw title in the qualifying round.

Neeraj, who won gold at Gold Coast 2018 before missing Birmingham 2022 with injury, will be in action in the qualifying round alongside compatriots Yash Vir Singh and Rohit Yadav.

Shot put national record holder Tajinderpal Singh Toor , meanwhile, goes into the final looking to open his Commonwealth Games medal account, with Samardeep Singh Gill also in the field.

Toor, despite being a two-time gold medal winner at both the Asian Games and Asian Championships , is yet to taste podium success at the CWG . He was eighth at Gold Coast 2018 and missed Birmingham 2022 with a groin injury.

Parul Chaudhary returns for the women's 5000m final today seeking redemption after a below-par steeplechase race on Wednesday.

The national record holder finished fifth in the women's 3000m steeplechase, almost 12 seconds outside her personal best.

India's weightlifters look to close their campaign on a high, with Birmingham 2022 bronze medal winner Lovepreet Singh (men's +110kg) and Martina Devi Maibam (women's +86kg) in action.

Indian lifters have already claimed seven medals at Glasgow 2026 , headlined by Mirabai Chanu 's gold.

Track cycling also gets underway for India, with the men's team sprint quartet of Rojit Singh Yanglem, David Beckham Elkatohchoongo, Ronaldo Singh Laitonjam in qualifying and potential medal races.

Para cyclist Lisha Das competes in the women's C4-C5 4000m individual pursuit.

Elsewhere in athletics , Tejaswin Shankar begins his decathlon campaign while Vishal TK is set to run a men's 400m semi-final.

Animesh Kujur will line up in the men's 200m semi-final after a solid showing in the round 1 heats. Nidhi Rani and Seema Punia are set to contest the women's discus throw final.
