TUD Family Festival: A celebration for everyone who loves their family.

Once again this year, TUD cordially invites you to its Family Festival. On Thursday, September 17, 2026, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m., a colorful afternoon awaits people of all ages and all types of families!

We hope the diverse program has something for everyone:

From the robot dog SPOT to the “Katze Q” gaming lounge —science comes to life in a playful way here.

The band “Zugabe,” the interactive circus “Chaos,” and the TUD Children’s and Youth Dance Studio will keep the energy high.

There’ll be plenty of opportunities to get active, too: The University Sports Center will provide sports and play equipment, and the campus fire department invites you to try target spraying—including a peek inside the fire truck.

With a children’s clothing swap, photo booth, face painting, craft station, wheel of fortune, and information booths, it’s sure to be an eventful afternoon.

Food and drinks will be available for both small and large appetites—look forward to a delicious selection of food and beverages.

Who is this event for?

Everyone! All associate members of TU Dresden, their families, friends, and anyone interested are invited . We embrace family in all its diverse forms—whether parent-child, blended, extended, partnership, or chosen family—and look forward to spending the afternoon together!

This year’s festival is once again supported by numerous partners, including the Dresden Student Services (Studentenwerk Dresden) and the dm - drogeriemarkt GmbH + Co. KG branch at Nürnberger Platz in Dresden—we’d like to express our heartfelt thanks to them.
