It tells a moving, thrilling, and partly humorous story about war, hope, poverty, encounters, and the special bond between an American soldier and Adelboden. The Eiger North Face, imposing and notorious, is a constant eye-catcher that accompanies the participants throughout the race. Together with four other long-distance races in Switzerland, the Eiger Bike Challenge is part of the overall ranking of the “Bike Marathon Classics”. In addition to the classic and technically demanding laps of 80 and 50 km, we also have 45, 30 and 20 km laps that are less technically and physically demanding. Since the anniversary event in 2023, we have also offered the opportunity to take part in the Gravel category. Also worth mentioning is the Enduro race, which has been steadily gaining popularity since its introduction in 2021. The “Raiffeisen Kids Race” has also been part of the event for over 20 years. It is in this sumptuous setting that the 98th Bernese Jura wrestling festival will take place. In the meantime, you’ll find a wealth of information on this website, which will be added to as preparations progress. The concertina club Brienz, the yodeling club Brienz as well as alphorn & flag throwing await you. 14.08.2026 - 16.08.2026 - Tavannes Fête des Saisons, Tavannes 2026 Demonstration of regional or even national scale, notably through its famous flowered Corso. The Tavannes Seasons Festival is now one of the highlights of the festive and cultural life of the region. Over the course of a weekend, more than 25,000 people are expected to gather in the streets of Tavannes. With a long tradition, the Corso de la Fête des Saisons presents more than 20 floats and musical groups (bands, cliques), representing about 300 participants, including more than 150 children. It takes place at night on Saturdays and during the day on Sundays. - Entry free 08.08.2026 - Gstaad Glacier 3000 run Traditional mountain run 26.2 km: The attractive race course begins at the Gstaad Promenade at approx. 1050 meters and ends up at Glacier 3000, situated almost 3000 meters above sea level. This means an altitude gain of about 2000 meters. The Glacier 3000 race will be a true challenge for all participants. The first part of the race is mostly on even ground. Afterwards the course gets steeper as the terrain goes from a soft forest trail to alpine hiking trails and ends by going over snow and finally over the glacial ice. Alone, in a team, in Alpine Nordic Walking on 6.2 km or during the Gstaad Kids Run, there is a challenge for everyone!
