South Africa’s Sinesipho Dambile and Canada’s Aaron Brown sped through the semi-finals the quickest ahead of Friday's (31 July) 200m men’s final.

The conclusion of the men’s 200m at the Commonwealth Games takes the stage on Friday (31 July) evening.

While some big names crashed out in the semi-finals, the final remains stacked with pace.

South Africa's Sinesipho Dambile has lived up to his billing as the fastest entrant this year; he won his semi-final and clocked the quickest qualifying time at 19.82.

Canada's Aaron Brown was just behind him in the semi-final, and the pair will race once more on Friday.

This year’s Commonwealth Games silver medallist in the 100m also features. Lachlan Kennedy broke the Australian record at these Games over that distance, and has followed it up with strong qualifying performances over 200m.

Also on the start line are Jamaica's Christopher Taylor (20.20) and Jevaughn Powell (20.24), Nigeria's Udodi Onwuzurike (20.22), Ghana's Joseph Paul Amoah (20.24) and Botswana's Prince Selepe (20.31).

The final is set for Friday (31 July) at 21:25 local time.
