FISU World University Squash Championships 2026: Suraj Chand leads India’s charge - schedule, where to watch live

Suraj Chand will spearhead host India’s challenge at the FISU World University Championship Squash 2026 , set to begin at Somaiya Vidyavihar University in Mumbai on Monday.

Live streaming of the FISU World University Squash Championships 2026, scheduled from August 3 to 9, will be available to watch in India.

Organised by the International University Sports Federation (FISU), the championship will bring together squash players from 14 countries and regions for a week of international competition across individual and team events.

Student-athletes from Brazil, People’s Republic of China, Czechia, France, Hong Kong China, Hungary, India, New Zealand, Poland, Singapore, Spain, South Africa, Switzerland and the United Kingdom will compete in Mumbai.

Women : Nirupama Dubey, Pooja Arthi, Shameena Riaz

India claimed a team bronze medal in the previous edition of the tournament in Johannesburg, South Africa, in 2024.

Suraj Chand, part of India’s Asian Games 2026 squad, also bagged the men’s singles bronze in Johannesburg.

Great Britain is the most successful team in World University Squash Championships history with 26 medals, including 10 golds. Powerhouse Egypt have also won 10 golds but with a total of 20 medals.

Squash is set to make its Olympic debut at LA 2028.
