Tennis: How to watch Venus Williams and Alexandra Eala at Canadian Open WTA 1000 in Toronto live – full schedule

Wildcard Williams features in the first round, while Eala begins her competition in the second.

Venus Williams and Alexandra Eala are back in tennis action across the coming week, competing at the Canadian Open WTA 1000 . The event runs from 1 to 13 August, with women’s matches held in Toronto.

Williams begins her wildcard campaign on Sunday (2 August), in what will be her 13th appearance in Canada. Her best result across the border came in 2014, where she beat sister Serena to reach the final.

Starting in the first round, the 46-year-old will face Uzbekistan’s Kamilla Rakhimova on centre court.

Eala, meanwhile, will take to the court on either Tuesday (4 August) or Wednesday (5 August) for the second round after receiving a first-round bye. She will face either U.S. competitor Alycia Parks or Andorran qualifier Victoria Jiménez Kasintseva .

Beyond her first outing, a potential third-round clash with Linda Nosková awaits. The pair recently met in June to contest the semi-final of the Berlin Open, where the rising Filipina star was beaten in straight sets.

Action will be available to watch across a number of platforms, including the Tennis Channel – available via YouTube TV and Fubo – in the United States. In Canada, Sportsnet Plus have the rights to broadcast all matches, while Sky Sports Tennis will air it across the United Kingdom.
