Bayern Munich’s Konrad Laimer: ‘We can do even better’
Konrad Laimer says Bayern Munich are already focused on building on last season’s domestic double as they prepare for the start of the 2026
Speaking during Bayern’s pre-season tour of Asia , Laimer said the Bundesliga and DFB Cup winners are determined to raise their level further after falling short in the UEFA Champions League, where they were beaten by eventual winners Paris Saint-Germain in the semi-finals.
The Austria international, who recently extended his contract until 2029 after helping Austria reach the FIFA World Cup Round of 32, told media: “We can still play better football, all of us together. We want to start the season with that mindset. Last season went well, but we can and want to do even better.”

Entering his fourth season at Bayern, Laimer also highlighted the club’s relentless winning mentality. “You can really feel every single day here, when you’re training and surrounded by this environment, that at FC Bayern you want to win every single title. That’s what makes it all so special. We’re going for it all again.”
Bayern open their competitive campaign against Borussia Dortmund in the Franz Beckenbauer Supercup on 22 August.
