Serena and Venus Williams reunite in 2026 Cincinnati Open doubles wildcard

Four years on from their last appearance together, and weeks after their planned reunion was derailed at Wimbledon, the siblings are set for the doubles bracket in Cincinnati from 11 August.

Olympic champions Serena and Venus Williams have received wildcard entry into the women’s doubles draw at the 2026 Cincinnati Open, marking their first appearance together since the 2022 US Open.

The WTA 1000 event, taking place in Ohio from 11–23 August, sees the sisters reunite after their planned comeback at Wimbledon 2026 was cut short. Serena, 44, withdrew from the doubles draw with a right knee injury after losing in the first round of the singles.

The Williams sisters are one of the most successful doubles teams in tennis history, winning Olympic gold at London 2012 and three Olympic doubles gold medals overall, as well as 14 Grand Slam doubles titles.

Venus, 46, has also received a wildcard into the singles draw as both sisters continue competing on the WTA Tour.
