Win an advertising campaign with Next Big Brand

For the first time, Ströer, a media company best known for its outdoor advertising, is organising the Next Big Brand startup competition. The top prize is an advertising campaign worth 85,000 euros. The application period runs until 4 September.

How Next Big Brand works

Startups that wish to market a physical or digital product and are based in Hamburg or Schleswig-Holstein are eligible to take part. They can submit their application documents via an online form and explain why they are suitable for an outdoor advertising campaign. At the final on 23 September at the Ströer branch in Hamburg’s Speicherstadt, each entrant will have 15 minutes, including a Q&A session, to present their case to a panel of expert judges. The advertising campaign, which is the main prize, can be displayed across 250 premium City-Light posters in Hamburg. The prize money of 85,000 euros does not include technical costs for production, installation and printing; these are estimated at an additional 9,500 euros.

Ströer is a company founded in 1990, with its headquarter in Cologne and numerous other locations across Germany, which operates in three business areas:

The most important area is outdoor advertising. Ströer markets and operates around 300,000 advertising spaces nationwide, ranging from traditional advertising columns and large-format billboards to backlit media such as City-Light posters and digital public video displays.

The ‘Digital & Dialogue’ division comprises services for dialogue marketing and, primarily, the marketing of websites operated by Ströer, such as t-online, GIGA and kino.de.

The ‘DaaS & E-Commerce’ division focuses on the statistics platform Statista and the cosmetics brand asambeauty.
