Circular tech firm Greyparrot raises 27 million dollars in Series B

04.08.2026, 12:16 Uhr London - Tech investor Omar Mir is leading a 27 million dollar Series B fundraising for British circular tech company Greyparrot. Now capitalized at 60 million dollars, Greyparrot plans on using the funds to expand its camera systems that track recyclable materials. By 2030, Greyparrot hopes to abate 1 million tons of waste for WM, Veolia, and other customers.

( CONNECT ) Recyclers often can’t say exactly how much waste they have converted into value. To generate reliable data to make sure less waste goes to landfills, London-based Greyparrot has developed a network of cameras called “analyzers” that can help recyclers sort and track their work. The company recently raised 27 million dollars with the help of Omar Mir, a leading British tech investor, bringing its total funding to 60 million dollars, said a July 28 statement . The funds will help the company reach its target of rerouting 1 million tons of waste by 2030 for recyclers like Biffa , Circular Services , FCC , Veolia , and WM as well as retailers like Kenvue , L’Oréal , and Unilever .

“Waste intelligence will do for materials what satellite data did for navigation,” said Greyparrot Co-Founder Ambarish Mitra. “For decades, waste has been a blind spot. Nations compete for resources while burying and burning existing resources. What’s been missing is the ability to measure what they’re losing. Once you can measure a material, you can trade it and invest in it. That is when the circular economy stops being an ambition and becomes infrastructure.”

Greyparrot’s analyzers have detected 1 trillion pieces of waste in facilities in 20 countries, including 17.4 billion PET bottles and 4.2 billion aluminum products. The company estimates that it has secured 2.5 billion dollars in recoverable value and efficiency gains of 30 percent. The technology also helps companies and policymakers enforce extended producer responsibility rules and waste audits.

“For the first time, the world can see what it has been throwing away,” said Greyparrot Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer Mikela Druckman.ce
