Call for Sound Recordist / Sound Artist - DFFB

For my inde­pen­dent short dance art film Sen­se of Place, I am loo­king for a sound recor­dist or sound artist to cap­tu­re phy­si­cal and atmo­sphe­ric sounds during the film­ing of a dance per­for­mance.

Shoo­ting peri­od: 18–23 August 2026 Avai­la­bi­li­ty nee­ded: One half-day (approx. 4–5 hours) during this peri­od Loca­ti­on: Ufer­stu­di­os, Ber­lin

The focus is on recor­ding the phy­si­cal and atmo­sphe­ric qua­li­ties of the per­for­mance, inclu­ding:

• body move­ment and foot­s­teps – breathing – costume

​fabric sounds – inter­ac­tions with the space – room tone and atmo­sphe­re of the loca­ti­on – other subt­le phy­si­cal sound tex­tures

The recor­dings will beco­me mate­ri­al for the film’s sound design.

• Own recor­ding equip­ment pre­fer­red (por­ta­ble recor­der, micro­pho­nes, etc.) – Expe­ri­ence with sound recor­ding, field recor­ding, sound art, dance, theat­re, or film is wel­co­me – Abili­ty to deli­ver high-qua­li­ty WAV files
