BCGE was founded in 1816 and is the oldest Swiss bank still in operation today. It is listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange. Its equity capital is composed of 72,000,000 shares at a par value of CHF 5, the majority of which are held by Geneva public sector entities.

Once a year, BCGE holds its Annual General Meeting to allow shareholders to vote on key matters related to the bank. This includes approving the bank’s financial statements, annual report and allocation of profits. BCGE’s next Annual General Meeting will take place on 4 May 2027.
