The Royal Norwegian Embassy in Tehran is seeking a new political analyst (full-time). We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our embassy team. The successful candidate will monitor political and security developments in Iran and the region and provide timely assessments and advice.

Researching, monitoring, and analyzing political developments at local, national, and international levels.
Produce high-quality reports, policy briefs, background papers, and analytical assessments.
Gathering information from a variety of sources, including official publications, policy papers, academic research, media reports, and public statements.
Preparing analytical reports, briefings, summaries, and presentations for internal or external stakeholders.
Evaluating political trends, government decisions, and public policy initiatives.
Maintaining awareness of relevant political events, stakeholder positions, and institutional developments.
Presenting findings in a clear, objective, and structured manner.
The embassy may change the responsibilities if deemed
Master’s degree in political science, international relations, international affairs, law, economics, or related fields. Extensive relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of a master’s degree.
Demonstrated knowledge of international affairs, foreign policy, and regional political developments.
Excellent command of English and Farsi, both oral and written.
Proficiency in standard office IT systems (Microsoft Office, Outlook, etc.).
Experience working in government, international organizations, diplomatic missions, research institutions, or related fields is desirable.
Possess excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
Be proactive, resourceful, and capable of working independently.
Demonstrate sound judgment and discretion in handling sensitive information.
Thrive in a multicultural and fast-paced environment.
Be able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines under pressure.
