The 10th edition of the Women’s Asia Cup will be played in Dubai. Sri Lanka are the defending champions while Indonesia are making their debut. Get complete list of matches.

The Women’s Asia Cup 2026 will be held at the Dubai International Stadium in the United Arab Emirates from August 28 to September 13, with eight teams competing for the continental T20 title.

The biennial cricket tournament returns for its 10th edition with India aiming to reclaim the trophy after surrendering it to Sri Lanka in the 2024 final.

India are the most successful team in the competition’s history, having won seven of the previous nine editions. Sri Lanka are the defending champions while Indonesia will make their Women’s Asia Cup debut.

Women’s Asia Cup 2026 teams and groups

Group A : India, Pakistan, Thailand, Hong Kong China

Group B : Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, UAE, Indonesia

The eight teams have been split into two groups of four with the top two from each group to advance to the semi-finals.

India will start their campaign against Thailand on August 30 before facing Hong Kong China on September 3. The marquee clash against arch-rivals Pakistan is on September 5.

The semi-finals are scheduled for September 10 and 11, with the final to be played on September 13.

India have dominated the Women’s Asia Cup since its inception in 2004. The tournament was played in the ODI format for the first four editions before it switched to T20 in 2012.

India won the first six editions before Bangladesh ended their monopoly in 2018. The Indian women’s cricket team reclaimed the title in 2022 but were beaten by Sri Lanka in 2024.

A triumph in Dubai would see India lift a record-extending eighth Women’s Asia Cup crown. UAE is hosting the tournament for the first time.
