Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese and A’ja Wilson headline Team USA’s 12-player roster for 2026 FIBA Women’s World Cup

WNBA stars Clark and Reese are among seven players selected for their first major international tournament, while two-time Olympic champion Wilson also makes the team.

The U.S. women’s national basketball team have announced their 12-player roster for the upcoming 2026 FIBA Women’s World Cup , which takes place between 4-13 September in Berlin.

WNBA stars Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese are among seven players selected by Team USA for their first major international tournament.

Two-time Olympic gold medallist and two-time world champion A’ja Wilson is also in the squad.

While Breanna Stewart has been selected to become one of three players in Team USA's history to play at four different World Cups, joining the esteemed company of Sue Bird and Diana Taurasi .

Team USA enter the upcoming tournament as the defending champions, storming to success four years ago. Wilson earned the MVP award with her nation-leading 17.2 points and 7.5 rebounds per game.

The most successful side in the competition's history, the U.S. will go in search of a 12th title when they open their account against People’s Republic of China on Friday 4 September.

Italy and Czechia make up the rest of their group, with the country who tops the table advancing straight through to the knockout stages, which commence on 10 September.

“This is an incredibly talented group that has earned the opportunity to compete in Berlin,” said managing director Bird .

“Wearing a USA jersey is a privilege, and I know these 12 players will embrace that responsibility as we go after another gold medal. I can’t wait to see what this team accomplishes together.”
