Singapore - Julius Bär has announced the appointment of Nira Tanoko as its new Market Head South East Asia. Tanoko will take up her new role on November 2 and will be tasked with driving the company’s strategic growth across the region.

( CONNECT ) The Zurich-based Julius Bär Group has announced the appointment of Nira Tanoko as Market Head South East Asia in a statement . She is set to make the switch to Julius Bär from Bank of Singapore on November 2, 2026, and will support the group’s efforts to expand in Asia. This year, the Julius Bär Group is celebrating its 20th anniversary in Singapore and Hong Kong.

In her new role, Tanoko will lead Julius Bär’s South East Asia business from Singapore with the aim of driving strategic growth. She will also be tasked with strengthening the bank’s talent base and overseeing teams that serve high and ultra-high-net-worth clients in key markets across the region, in addition to working closely with product and investment specialists to develop new solutions for clients.

“South East Asia remains a strategically important market with significant long-term growth potential”, comments Jimmi Lee, Region Head Asia, in the statement, adding that: “Nira’s deep understanding of the region, strong leadership capabilities and commitment to delivering exceptional client service make her well positioned to lead our South East Asia business into its next phase of growth”.

Tanoko brings more than 20 years of experience in the area of Wealth Management. For more than 25 years, she has been in charge of banking teams responsible for building and evolving client relationships with high and ultra-high-net-worth customers. In her most recent role, Tanoko was Market Head Indonesia at the Bank of Singapore. ce
