Swiss spacetech pioneers to attend Bengaluru Space Expo for the first time
Bengaluru - With the Zurich-based nordfen and condenZero, as well as Klepsydra from Zug, a trio of Swiss spacetech pioneers are taking part in the Bengaluru Space Expo. From September 7 to 11, they will be part of the Startup Camps India from Swissnex and Innosuisse. Perovskia Solar will also be involved.
( CONNECT ) The three spacetech start-ups nordfen and condenZero from Zurich and Klepsydra Technologies from Zug are travelling to India as part of the Startup Camp India – SpaceTech 2026 . According to a statement from Swissnex India , they will be taking part in the Bengaluru Space Expo 2026 , one of Asia’s largest space trade fairs with participants from 20 countries, which is set to take place September 7-9.
During the remainder of their stay, they will connect with Indian start-ups, companies and research institutions with the aim of exploring opportunities for collaboration and joint innovation. As announced by the trade fair organizers, Swissnex India is the fair’s new innovation partner.
Startup Camp India is organized by Swissnex , Switzerland’s global network for education, research, and innovation, and the Swiss innovation agency Innosuisse . As part of the Consulate General of Switzerland in Bengaluru, Swissnex India supports Swiss universities, start-ups and research-intensive companies in their efforts to enter the Indian market and in relation to knowledge exchange initiatives.
Based in Zurich, nordfen develops Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based simulation software that turns real geospatial data into realistic 3D environments. These virtual, yet realistic, training environments and physical simulations developed by the company, which was founded in mid-2025 by three graduates from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich , are used in the development of remote-controlled vehicles and AI agents for the protection of critical infrastructure such as industrial facilities and energy grids against drone attacks. Nordfen is part of the ESA BIC Switzerland incubation program run by the European Space Agency ( ESA ).
Also located in Zurich, the deeptech company condenZero was spun off from the Department of Physics at the University of Zurich in 2019. The start-up develops specialized equipment for cryo-electron microscopes that keeps samples at ultra-low temperatures for up to 24 hours, enabling researchers to examine materials and biological samples in much greater detail.
Klepsydra Technologies, which was spun off from the Californian robotics company Farm-ng in 2018 and is headquartered in Zug, develops Edge AI software for the aerospace, robotics and automotive industries. The patented Edge AI software solutions help computers to process up to ten times more data while consuming 50 percent less energy.
As Swissnex India outlines in a separate statement , Perovskia Solar from Aubonne in the canton of Vaud is taking part in the India trip for the second time “as part of a deeper engagement”, with the aim of launching its technology on the Indian market. The start-up, which was founded as a spin-off from the Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Science and Technology in 2020, specializes in ultra-thin, digitally printed and customized perovskite solar cells that use ambient light to power Internet of Things devices. ce
