The contribution reflects the Alstom Foundation’s commitment to supporting communities during times of need

10 August 2026 – Alstom, global leader in smart and sustainable mobility, announced today that the Alstom Foundation has donated to the Canadian Red Cross to support wildfire relief efforts in Ontario. As wildfires continue to affect communities across the province, the donation will help support response and recovery efforts and provide assistance to those impacted by the ongoing situation.

“Our thoughts are with the individuals, families and communities affected by the wildfires in Ontario,” said Olivier Marcil, Vice President, Communications and Public Affairs, Alstom Canada. “The Canadian Red Cross plays a critical role in supporting Canadians during emergencies. Through this contribution from the Alstom Foundation, we are proud to support its efforts and help communities access the assistance and resources they need during this challenging time."

The Alstom Foundation supports projects around the world that help improve living conditions in communities where Alstom operates. In times of crisis, the Foundation also provides support to humanitarian initiatives responding to natural disasters and emergencies. This contribution reflects Alstom’s commitment to standing alongside communities during difficult times and recognizing the essential work carried out by emergency response organizations and relief partners.

Established in November 2007, the Alstom Foundation supports and funds projects which serve to improve living conditions in, and economic prospects of, communities located near Alstom’s facilities and sites around the world. All projects are conceived, presented and supported by Alstom employees who team up with expert partners and look to the Alstom Foundation to make a positive impact on the local environment. All projects are conducted in strong partnership with local or global NGOs with a proven ability to implement the projects on the ground.
