The Cincinnati Open 2026 (13-23 August) serves as the final major stop on tennis ’ North American hard-court swing.

Taking place in Ohio, USA, the ATP Masters and WTA 1000 event sits one rung below the Grand Slams, ahead of the final major of the season in the US Open .

Both Wimbledon champion Jannik Sinner and Australian Open champion Carlos Alcaraz will miss out in Cincinnati, citing respective knee and wrist injuries, while on the women’s side of the draw, last year’s runner-up Jasmine Paolini and former US Open champion Emma Raducanu have also withdrawn through injury.

Defending champion Elena Rybakina and world number one Aryna Sabalenka lead the line-up for the women, while USA’s home hopes will be led by Coco Gauff and Jessica Pegula .

Olympic gold medallists Novak Djokovic and Alexander Zverev will be in action for the men, with Taylor Fritz and Ben Shelton looking to lift the trophy on home soil.
