Beach Volleyball: 2026 CEV EuroBeachVolley - schedule, teams and how to watch LA28 qualifier live Who will book the first beach volleyball quotas for LA28? Read on for everything you need to know about the European Championships in Poland. The road to LA28 and the sandy settings of beach volleyball begins at the 2026 CEV EuroBeachVolley (12-16 August). Stare Jabłonki in northern Poland will host the European Championships, where the men’s and women’s champions will earn the first quota spots for the next Olympics. As National Olympic Committees have the exclusive authority for the representation of their respective teams at the Olympic Games, athletes’ participation at the LA Games depends on their NOC selecting them to represent their delegation at LA28. Each field consists of 32 teams from across the continent, first divided into eight pools of four before a 24-team single-elimination format through to the final. It is a stacked lineup: seven of the top 10 men’s teams in the world are in action, as well as four of the top eight women’s teams. Five-time men’s European champions Anders Mol and Christian Sørum will aim to defend their European crown before taking a break from the beach, as the Norwegian Mol will play indoor volleyball in Italy next season. Olympic and world champions David Åhman and Jonatan Hellvig are targeting a third continental title in five years, a major step on the road to defending their Olympic gold. They will face competition from fellow Swedes Jacob Hölting Nilsson and Elmer Andersson, the top-ranked side in the world making their senior competition debut. In the women’s draw, reigning world champions Tina Graudina and Anastasija Samoilova are hungry for a third EuroBeachVolley victory and first since Munich 2022. The Latvians arrive in Stare Jabłonki as the top seeds but without a trophy since the World Championships in November. The Netherlands’ Raïsa Schoon and Katja Stam have twice stood on the continental podium and, as Europe’s number one team in the world rankings, will look to build on the confidence from winning the Elite16 Rio de Janeiro event. Reigning champion Tetiana Lazarenko returns with a new partner in Sofiia Kurnikova, while 2024 winners and Olympians, Svenja Müller and Cinja Tillmann are not a duo to be underestimated.
