According to the information, the new compliance expertise is being offered in the context of policymakers increasingly recognizing the importance of CO2 removal for achieving climate goals. As an example, Climeworks Solutions points to the proposal of the European Commission formulated in July 2026 which sought to integrate permanent CO2 removal into the EU Emissions Trading System.
