Arviem and Nexxiot join forces to digitalize supply chains in Asia

Zurich - Arviem and Nexxiot have entered into a strategic partnership. The aim here is to pool competencies in the areas of IoT technology, cargo visibility and asset intelligence in order to drive the digitalization of supply chains across Asia.

( CONNECT ) Arviem , a cargo monitoring service provider from Baar in the Swiss canton of Zug, and Nexxiot , a Zurich-based company operating in the field of asset intelligence and specialized logistics-IoT (Internet of Things) technology, have agreed a strategic partnership. According to a statement , the companies are planning to jointly drive the digitalization of supply chains in Asia, with a particular emphasis in this regard on Singapore, Vietnam and Indonesia.

Within the framework of the partnership, Arviem will provide an IoT-agnostic supply chain visibility platform that allows customers to select the most suitable technology for monitoring their cargo. For its part, Nexxiot will facilitate the digitalization of transport assets within global logistics networks on the basis of specialized IoT technology, secure connectivity and asset intelligence solutions. As a result, customers stand to benefit from a more extensive range of monitoring technologies and data-driven insights.

In addition, a key element of the partnership is the integration of the asset intelligence platform and permanently installed smart asset technology from Nexxiot in the Arviem portfolio of cargo visibility solutions. With this, the companies are supporting customers in their efforts to “improve operational efficiency, increase cargo security, reduce risk, enhance asset utilization and strengthen decision-making through reliable, real-time visibility”, as Nexxiot writes in the statement.

According to the companies, the partnership will initially be focused on Asia, where in comparison with other regions of the world, the local manufacturers, logistics providers and cargo owners are now upping investments in digital supply chain transformation and end-to-end shipment visibility. ce
