On Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at 10:30 a.m., Minister President Sven Schulze will attend the opening of the Drone Safety Technology Center of the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and deliver a welcoming address. Also attending the event will be Prof. Dr.-Ing. Anke Kaysser-Pyzalla, Chair of the DLR Executive Board, Federal Minister of the Interior Alexander Dobrindt, and Federal Minister of Research Dorothee Bär.

At the Drone Center, innovative technologies for drone safety are researched, developed, and tested under realistic conditions. The aim is to bring together scientific excellence, technological innovation, and the practical requirements of security authorities. The goal is to make a significant contribution to the safe and resilient use of unmanned systems.
