Jakob Rope Systems expands manufacturing site in Vietnam

Ho Chi Minh City - Jakob Rope Systems is expanding its manufacturing facility in Vietnam. The new production and warehouse building, with a usable floor area of 6,000 square meters, is designed to improve manufacturing efficiency and support the company’s continued growth.

( CONNECT ) Jakob AG , the company behind the Jakob Rope Systems brand, is expanding its manufacturing facility in Vietnam with a second phase of construction. The Trubschachen-based company in the Swiss canton of Bern develops and sells wire rope and wire rope net systems, as well as solutions for rope and lifting technology. At its site in Ho Chi Minh City, another production and warehouse building with a usable area of approximately 6,000 square meters is under construction. According to a statement , the expansion will “create additional production and storage capacity, improve manufacturing efficiency, and lay the foundation for the company’s continued growth”.

The new building, part of the long-term site strategy in Vietnam, is located on a plot of approximately 30,000 square meters and comprises three levels. A modern warehouse is being constructed on the ground floor, while the first floor will serve as reserve space for future development. The second floor will house stainless steel frame production. The building is complemented by parking areas, green spaces, and a sports area for employees.

The expansion is reportedly a response to the site’s positive development. In recent years, the company has introduced new products, implemented modern manufacturing technologies, and continuously increased production capacity.

“With this investment, we are laying the groundwork for the next stage of development at our site in Vietnam,” said Emanuel and Peter Jakob, the owner family of Jakob Rope Systems. “The new space will allow us to streamline our processes, implement new manufacturing technologies, and create room for future growth.” ce
