Swarfix WCT captures, stores and secures 100% of swarf downhole offshore; cuts BOP cleaning and rig time
Swarfix® WCT – Active Downhole Swarf Collection Technology
Swarfix® WCT – Active Downhole Swarf Collection Technology
Swarfix® WCT is a patented active downhole swarf collection technology developed for milling operations. Compared with conventional swarf collection using string magnets, Swarfix® WCT captures, stores and secures 100% of the swarf downhole, leaving the return flow above the tool swarf-free.
By preventing swarf circulation through the BOP and eliminating manual swarf handling offshore, the technology improves HSE, swarf control and operational efficiency. The documented performance also enables the operator to evaluate whether BOP cleaning is still required after the milling operation, with the potential to reduce additional clean-up activity and rig time.
Field-proven through more than 90 operations, Swarfix® WCT is available for multiple casing exit sizes, is compatible with major whipstock providers and is qualified at TRL 8.
